OUR STORY

​

   I first started pouring candles in our tiny studio apartment in New Orleans over 10 years ago. What started out as a hobby quickly developed into a little side business. At that time we owned a general store called Homestead. I started selling my candles in the shop and they quickly sold out.

 

   I started falling in love with the process of mixing scents, discovering new vessels, wax and wicks and finding the perfect balance between them all.

  Since I first began, many things in my life have changed! My husband and I moved back to my hometown of Petaluma, California in beautiful wine country for about 5 years. While in Petaluma, we opened up a lovely home goods shop called Truck & Barter as well as a barbershop called The Hi-Side Barbershop. We ended up closing the retail store shortly after the birth of our second son Thomas, so I could spend more time with my boys at home. In 2020, we welcomed our third baby, Paul and decided to move to beautiful North Idaho where we currently reside. In 2022 we welcomed our fourth boy Vincent into the world! What a loud, silly, messy, loving blessing all these boys are.

   My four little boys keep me very busy! We are in our third year of homeschooling, and enjoying it very much! I feel blessed to be able to make clean, non-toxic, products from home to serve my lovely customers alongside raising and teaching my babies.
